What to do with kitchen scraps
My sister is getting into whole foods. I always have been to a degree (though I love an occasional Twinkie as much as anyone). But I never realized soup stock could be made from leftover veggie scraps. Potato peelings, lettuce, zuccini, mushrooms… I had no idea. And those things have sat in my fridge wasting away at various times without me ever dreaming of their usefulness. Not that I’d ever store it for later. I love broth of all sorts and rarely see it last through a day.
